Attending Screenings

All screenings are free and open to the public and seating is available on a first-come basis. Doors open at 6:30pm.  These screenings are no ticketed. We reserve 15 seats for Emerson College faculty and staff until 15 minutes before show time. Any Emerson classes or community organizations attending as a group or anyone needing guaranteed seating for accessibility reasons may reach out to anna_feder@emerson.edu to reserve seats.

Cinema location: The Bright Family Screening Room is located on the 4th floor of the Paramount Center at 559 Washington Street in downtown Boston. More information on directions and parking can be found on the ArtsEmerson website.

Post screening conversation: All Bright Lights screenings are followed by moderated conversations with filmmakers, academics and/ or other invited guests and usually run 30-45 minutes. These conversations will be live captioned by a CART provider. These captions will appear on screen behind the speakers and be accessible on your personal device through a Streamtext link. More information on accessibility HERE. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of our guests and engage in the discussion.

Screening capacity:  The cinema holds 174 with additional access spots at the back of the cinema for wheelchair users. More information on physical accessibility can be found on the ArtsEmerson website.
