It is a time of intentional remembering and reflecting on the legacy of racialized oppression, and celebrating the many ways that Black people and Black culture have shaped global societies.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Black History Month is observed annually in February in the United States and Canada, and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.essence.com\/holidays\/black-history-month\/black-history-month-celebrations-across-the-globe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.essence.com\/holidays\/black-history-month\/black-history-month-celebrations-across-the-globe\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1739635435133000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3v4TmMfODy1jFVrLf1Bn1m\">during other months throughout the world<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The 2025 theme is<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/asalh.org\/black-history-themes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/asalh.org\/black-history-themes\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1739635435133000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0P4X7IaTnnBWuD8xk4L4TW\">African Americans and Labor<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\">.
