August is National Beach Month, so today we\u2019re going to highlight some of our favorite Boston beaches! Located in the heart of downtown, Emerson is just a short train ride or drive away from these beautiful beaches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Constitution Beach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A hidden gem of East Boston, Constitution Beach<\/strong><\/a> is a great place to get away. This beach is located off of the MBTA Blue Line, plus there\u2019s free parking in the lot if you\u2019d rather drive. Fully equipped with a playground, open field, tennis courts, baseball field, and basketball courts, there\u2019s an activity for everyone at Constitution Beach. The beach is free to the public and is staffed with lifeguards in the summer months. Come any time between dawn and dusk to bask in the sun, swim, and watch planes take off from the nearby Logan International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Carson Beach, M Street Beach, and L Street Beach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All located along the same 3-mile stretch in South Boston, Carson Beach, M Street Beach<\/strong><\/a>, and L Street Beach<\/strong><\/a> are great options for a summer day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easily accessible from the Red Line, Carson Beach looks out onto the harbor. With a lovely view of the Boston skyline, Carson beach offers plenty of room for walking, swimming, or laying on the beach for a tan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a six minute walk from one another, L Street Beach and M Street Beach are also local favorites. Both beaches are great for roller blading, swimming, biking, or games on the sand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Pleasure Bay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just around the corner from Carson, M Street, and L Street beaches is Pleasure Bay<\/strong><\/a>. Another expansive beach in Southie, Pleasure Bay is a wonderful place to get away. If you\u2019re a seafood lover, Sullivan\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> is just a 12 minute walk from the beach. Or, you might explore the parks next to the beach, including Evans Field<\/strong><\/a> and the Lago Playground<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
