The Faculty Scholarship & Creative Practice Fund<\/a> supports faculty research and creative projects at any phase of development. This funding is available for a wide range of work\u2013 including films, performances, art installations, archival research, human subjects studies, and technological innovations. The fund\u2019s purpose is to help faculty secure the resources they need to move their projects forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gabrielle Demeestere<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the School of Film, was awarded for their project “Summer Romance”<\/strong>: a proof-of-concept short film based on an existing feature-length script through the Faculty Grants Program. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Zhao Peng<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the Journalism Department, was awarded for their project \u201cHow the Linguistic and Semantic Features of AI Generated Misinformation Affect People\u2019s Beliefs: Applying Computational and Experimental Approaches\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allyson Sherlock<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the School of Film, Television, and Media Arts, was awarded for their project \u201cAnother Man’s Treasure: A feature-length documentary film\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ed Lee<\/strong>, Associate Professor for the School of Film, Television, and Media Arts, was awarded for their project \u201cArts and Humanities : a short film about the indignities of being an assistant Professor\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pelin Kivrak<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the Department of Writing, Literature & Publishing, was awarded for their project \u201cThe Intimate Archive: Migrant Domesticity and Visual Aesthetics in Postwar Germany and Switzerland\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christopher Shin<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the Department of Performing Arts, was awarded for their project \u201cAdvancing My Career As A Director: Directing A Holiday Musical At TexARTS\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ilana Toeplitz<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the Department of Performing Arts, was awarded for their project \u201cWhere It Hurts, Where We Heal: Trauma-Informed Support for Late, a New Musical Addressing Gun Violence in Schools\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Zhang<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the Department of Writing, Literature & Publishing, was awarded for their project \u201cArchival Research for Early Modern Literature Monograph on Narrative Authority in Early Modern Romance\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harlan Bosmajian<\/strong>, Associate Professor for the School of Film, Television, and Media Arts, was awarded for their project \u201cShort Film Completion Funds for Sound Design, Composer and Sound Mixing\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Bunker<\/strong>, Assistant Professor for the Department of Marketing Communication, was awarded for their project \u201cExamining whether Human and Algorithmic Predictions Constrain the Self through an Online Survey Experiment to Advance Psychological Science\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martie Cook<\/strong>, Professor for the School of Film, Television, and Media Arts, was awarded for their project \u201c66.6: Creating a Murder Mystery TV Anthology Series with Strong Female Leads That Inspires Women to Face Their Demons, Change Power Dynamics, and Take Back Control of Their Lives\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mneesha Gellman<\/strong>, Associate Professor for the Marlboro Institute, was awarded for their project \u201cThe politics of citizenship: Immigration, safety, and identity in Mexico, El Salvador, and the United States\u201d<\/strong> through the Faculty Grants Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
