Announcements: Professional and Personal News
- The Office of Student Success is hosting a donation drive to help those affected by the recent hurricanes in the U.S. Virgin Islands. See information about what is needed and where you can find donation boxes on the EmConnect event page. Donations are being accepted until November 27.
- The Service Excellence Initiative (SEI) has launched! Service Excellence is not just about the day-to-day service we provide to all of our community members. It is about the spirit, enthusiasm, and care that drive our work. It is about taking the good to great to excellent.
Over the past few weeks, the SEI group has hosted an ice cream social, as well as three sessions with the authors of Creating a Service Culture in Higher Education Administration. Approximately 100 staff members participated in the events. And we are just getting started!
For more information about the Service Excellence Initiative, or to get your free copy of Creating a Service Culture in Higher Education Administration, please contact Kellie Fuller (Enrollment Services and Support) or Pam Bonnell (HR). - The 2017 Emerson360 Community Climate Survey for staff and faculty will take place November 3–21. This is the second campus-wide survey for staff and faculty, the first being done in 2014 (see here for 2014 survey results). The survey’s focus is on general climate issues including satisfaction with management, senior leadership, compensation and benefits, communication and collaboration, and diversity and inclusion. The survey is confidential: all responses go directly to ModernThink, the survey company. Look for an email with your username and password from ModernThink on Friday, November 3. Some great incentives are being awarded at random to those who take the survey. Contact Robert Amelio (Diversity and Inclusion) with any questions.
And in personal news…here are some pets who celebrated Halloween!
