Announcements: Professional and Personal News

  • Staff are invited to the first ever meeting of the Emerson staff YA book club on Thursday, March 22, 3:00–4:00 pm in the Iwasaki Library’s CoLab. The club will be discussing the book Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. There will be snacks! At this meeting, attendees will also discuss some goals they have for the book club and select the book and meeting time for the following month. Email Allison Boudreau to RSVP, receive more information, or if you would like a copy of the book ordered for you through the library.

  • Kevin Fleming (Alumni Relations) and Nancy Howell (Marketing) were on the planning committee for the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District I conference, which was held in Boston March 15–16.
  • A number of Student Affairs staff attended the 100th National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) national conference in Philadelphia the week of March 5.

  • A farewell party was held on February 21 for Dogtor Rudy and his owner Annelle Kallman (ECAPS). Kallman is going on maternity leave and bringing Rudy with her.

  • Robin Chace (IT) adopted two cats, Randolph and Mortimer, from Woburn Feral Cat Coalition on February 3.
