January 2018 Award of Excellence Winner

Tom O’Brien (Facilities) is the January winner of the Excellence Award. He has worked at Emerson for 15 years, spending his days fixing things all over campus—especially the College’s theaters. He said of the award, “My fellow workers have done so much to make my labors look good that they truly deserve this award. Along with them, it’s been the Office of the Arts crew particularly and so many students who have made me feel appreciated and valued. From my heart, it truly is my pleasure to serve the College in any way, and if I can help make you happy through some aspect of my work, then I consider that a good effort and a good day.”
