March 2018 Award of Excellence Winner

Amanda Turnley (Student Affairs) is March’s Award of Excellence winner. She is the director of student care and support in Campus Life. She started at Emerson in 2010 as the housing operations coordinator in the Office of Housing and Residence Life. In 2013, she became associate director of housing operations. She was promoted again in 2016, becoming the director of assessment, care, and case management under the Dean of Students. When Student Affairs restructured in Fall 2017, her title was changed to its current iteration.

She said of the award, “I am incredibly honored to have won this award. I couldn’t do my job without so many amazing colleagues, and being recognized in this way from a nomination by someone I work with is really wonderful. The kind words that someone took the time to write about me in the nomination are so humbling and mean so much.”
