  • Shari Stier, Peter De Andrade, and Jordan Mackenzie (HR) completed a Prosci Change Management Certification Training in Colorado Springs in August. They are now certified change practitioners and will be using their training tools to further develop the Organization, Communication, and Training stream of the Workday implementation.
  • The Emerson College Police Department hosted a 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T.) Program July 23–27. Officers who participated in this program received specialized instruction from behavioral health experts from the Greater Boston area and Emerson community members. This intensive advanced‐officer training is designed to help officers gain an understanding about mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and developmental disorders, which they can use when they—as first responders—encounter individuals who are experiencing behavioral health crises due to mental illness and/or co‐occurring substance use disorders.

  • Maureen Hurley (Campus Life) has just been appointed regional chair for AHEPPP (Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals) Region 1.

  • Kellie Fuller (HR) and Michael Grindlay were married on September 29 in Quincy, Massachusetts.
