Emerson community members held a number of donation drives on campus during the holiday season. Check out the heartwarming results:
- ECPD Toys for Tots: The Police Department collected approximately 400 new toys.
- Student Success: The department collected 50+ food items for the on-campus food pantry.
- Staff and Faculty Holiday Party: 112 pajamas and 70 books were collected for the Pajama Program.
And in personal news:
- Shaylin Hogan (Graduate Studies) was sworn in as an executive board member of SEIU local 888 in December.
- Mattia Maurée’s (School of the Arts) score for Water Horse was nominated for best short score at the Horrorigins Film Fest. They also received an Opportunity Fund grant from the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture to record Waltz, a piece for viola and soprano commissioned as part of a triptych on domestic violence.
