Announcements

  • Every two years, the Office of Government and Community Relations publishes a Community Service Report that highlights the contributions that Emerson faculty, staff, and students make to enhance the quality of life for the Boston community.

The office is currently soliciting community service activities that occurred in calendar year 2019 and 2020. Visit this webpage for examples of applicable activities and to submit your story ideas.   • Human Resources has moved many of its in-person Learning and Development classes online. See the offerings on this webpage.

  • Erin Clossey, Chuck Dunham, and Nancy Howell (Communications and Marketing) were on the conference planning committee for the CASE District I Conference, which was slated to occur in Boston March 11–13.
  • Tim Douglas (Academic Advising) was slated to present “Collaborative Conversations: Using ‘Yes, And’ in Advising” at the NACADA Regional Conference in Mystic, CT, March 11–13.
  • A number of IT staff were slated to attend the annual NERCOMP conference in Providence March 23–25.
  • Cheryl McGrath and Elena O’Malley (Iwasaki Library) were slated to co-present “Showrunner AMA: How to Make a Better Offer” at the Spring ACRL/NEC ERMIG-ITIG Conference at Lesley University on March 27. McGrath was also going to present a lightning talk, “Six Weeks to a Strategic Plan.” O’Malley will present a lightning talk, “Hiring Three (Out of Four) Technical Specialists in One Year,” at the virtual NETSL Annual Spring Conference in April.
  • Lauren Labonte (Registrar’s Office) was slated to attend the Degree Works Forum in Orlando April 3–5.
  • VMA, MTP, and SOC staff were slated to attend the NAB Show in Las Vegas in April.
