  • Erik Muurisepp (Campus Life) defended his dissertation, “Co-Curricular Student Leadership and Its Impact on Career Readiness,” in March. He will graduate with an EdD from Northeastern in May.
  • Liz Chase (Iwasaki Library) has been contributing to the Liberty Crochet Mural Project, crocheting squares for murals that are being created in Virginia, Vermont, Kansas, and Ohio.

  • Congrats to the winner of March’s photo caption contest, Richelle Devereaux-Murray (Performing Arts). Her winning caption was “Emerson College: ‘Every wig, everywhere, all at once.'”
  • The Iwasaki Library is excited to announce that this year’s Cirque De De-stress is happening on Friday, April 28, 1:00–4:00 pm. Come check out therapy pets, grab a chair massage, or relax with arts and crafts! The library is still looking for a few more volunteers; anyone interested can fill out this form and they will receive a customized email. Any help is appreciated!   • The Emerson community is invited to the Banned Books Readathon and Giveaway on May 3, 12:00–4:00 pm, in the lobby of 172 Tremont. This initiative is part of a nationwide effort spearheaded by PEN America. Professors Wendy Williams and Kim McLarin will be leading the day’s events. Everyone is invited to bring a book from the banned book list and join in! Sign up to come read and share the book’s content with community members. Boxes for book donations can be found on Ansin 9, 10, and 12 and in the Iwasaki Library. (Submissions closed)
