September and October 2024 Award of Excellence Winners

Iris O’Connor, digital services manager in Web and Digital Services, is September’s Award of Excellence winner. She is a 2012 graduate of Emerson’s MA in Publishing and Writing program and will celebrate her sixth anniversary as a full-time employee later this summer. She worked in the Lacerte Family Writing and Academic Resource Center before moving to the Web and Digital Services team. She said of winning the award, “I am incredibly honored to receive the Award of Excellence. I am very fortunate to have support from my stellar colleagues….I’d like to acknowledge the leadership of Jason Beals, whose mentorship and guidance has made my professional journey at Emerson insightful and rewarding. I look forward to working with my colleagues across the College in the future, putting Emerson’s best foot forward.”

Maddie Massari, assistant director in Student Care and Support, is October’s Award of Excellence winner. She just celebrated her two-year anniversary at Emerson. She said of winning the award, “I’m so honored that my colleagues took the time out of their already busy schedules to nominate me for this award! I’m lucky to work with an amazing group of people who all deserve to be recognized for the work they do with students.”
