New Dining Center a Big Hit with the Community

Have you been to the new Dining Center at 122-124 Boylston Street yet? If not, it is worth a visit!

The majority of the food stations on the first and lower levels are “all-you-care-to dine.” Staff and faculty are able to use EC Cash or a meal plan to pay for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Visit this page to learn more about payment options.

The first level features “home cooking,” deli, grill, and dessert stations. On the lower level, patrons can find an extensive salad bar, pizza station, vegan station, and “Simple Servings” station. Simple Servings caters to people with food allergies. Staff at this station have special certification to prepare and serve the food, which is free of dairy products, wheat, soy, shellfish, nuts, and gluten.

Emerson and Sodexo are proud to source much of the food from local farms and orchards. A sign at each station notes which items have come from local suppliers. A couple of larger signs posted throughout the center note how many local suppliers and healthy eating options are offered each week.

Community members who need to grab and go can head to the retail section on the lower level, accessible through 25 Boylston Place. Here, you can buy items a la carte, including drinks, sandwiches, burgers, and packaged sushi and salads.

Ample seating is available on both levels. Faculty and staff who are looking for some privacy are invited to use the center’s Private Dining Room (on the lower level behind the security desk at 25 Boylston Place) Monday–Friday, 11:00 am–2:00 pm.

The Dining Center offers the largest communal space the campus has had in recent years. It is open Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–9:00 pm, and Saturday–Sunday, 10:00 am–8:00 pm. And even after dinner service ends, the Center Stage area on the lower level stays open until 2:00 am for student organizations to use for a variety of programming.
