- Diane Paxton (Student Accessibility Services) has a quilt that has been accepted to QuiltCon, the largest modern quilting event in the world. Her quilt, “Fire. Water. Earth.,” is in the “Improvisation” category, as she designed it without using any kind of pattern.

Thanks to everyone who donated to the Truman and Friends Pet Shelter Drive in December. Approximately 50 items were donated to the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
Campus Race to Zero Waste
The 2024 Campus Race to Zero Waste has begun! The College is participating in the eight-week national recycling competition, and the Sustainability team has planned a number of events to help us focus on diverting more waste from the landfill. Becoming a Man at the A.R.T.
The Emerson community can request free tickets to Becoming a Man, a new play at the A.R.T. based on the memoir of faculty member P. Carl. Use this form to request free tickets. Priority access ends on February 9.
Career Closet Clothing Drive

Photo Caption Contest
Congratulations to the winner of December’s photo caption contest, Elena O’Malley (Iwasaki Library). Her winning caption was “Where exactly are we staging this production of ‘Sweeney Todd’?”
We are now accepting submissions for February’s photo caption contest! Submit your caption of up to 20 words to people@emerson.edu by February 8 at 5:00 pm EST. (The photo subjects are window washers on the Little Building!)
