Earth Month Events

It’s Emerson Sustainability’s favorite time of the year: Earth Month! As usual, we’re excited about the many sustainability-related events both on and off campus this month.
Emerson Green Collective is hosting its annual Earth Day celebration on April 22, 5:00–7:00 pm, for the whole Emerson community. Stop by the Loft (connected to the Lion’s Den) for music, the launch of GreenMag’s newest edition, bouquet making with Student Success, and more!
If you’re looking for even more ways to show the Earth your love, here are just a few local Earth Month events:
Week of April 14
- April 19: Earth Day Bird Walk and A LITTLE Trouble-Making by Boston Birding Festival (Cambridge)
- April 19: Earth Day Celebration Festival and Market by Sustainable Swaps (Allston)

Many other towns and cities are hosting their own events for Earth Month, so make sure to check out events in your community.
April is also a great opportunity to reflect on how we can protect our planet all year-round. Consider setting a sustainable goal for yourself to accomplish by next Earth Day. Ideas to get you started include: keeping a reusable tote bag at work for when you need to shop on your commute home, reading at least one environmental book, using up all the items in your fridge before buying new ones to reduce food waste, or (shameless plug) subscribing to the Sustainable Emerson newsletter!
However you choose to celebrate, Emerson Sustainability hopes that you have a great and green Earth Month!
