The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is a globally recognized organization of undergraduate and graduate students interested in the fields of communications, public relations, marketing, journalism and other creative enterprises.

Emerson College Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter provides members with a deeper look into the public relations field. The chapter supports the newly-launched undergraduate Public Relations major and minor and the graduate Public Relations degree. The events and meetings feature interactive workshops, insights from speakers and industry leaders across various communication disciplines, agency tours and ‘how-to’ special events.
The purpose of PRSSA at Emerson College is to cultivate a favorable and mutually-advantageous relationship between students and industry leaders working in public relations and other creative fields. It is our mission to prepare students for the professional world; to educate, promote and encourage students to transition into professionals through first-hand experiences and various programming. Additionally, our members have the opportunity to cultivate relationships by networking at events throughout the academic year with other students, faculty and professionals within the field at varying stages of their careers.

Apply to Join the Chapter
All students are welcome to join the Emerson College Chapter of PRSSA. To join, please fill out both the 2023–2024 Application as well as pay PRSSA National dues by Oct. 6. The annual due amount is $55 and all funds go directly to PRSSA Nationals. Your dues include ONE YEAR of membership. In addition, your membership includes all chapter activities, events and programs, plus information from PRSSA Nationals, tips on starting your career and how to get an internship and more!
