We\u2019re back again with the results from our monthly Weigh the Waste event.  Check out results from last month and read more details about the event here<\/a>.  At our Weigh the Waste on February 28, our overall waste decreased yet again!  Total waste weighed in at 56 lbs, a significant decrease from January’s 84.3 lbs.  Per capita waste also decreased in each category, with total waste at 1.40 oz per person, edible compost at 1.23 oz, inedible compost at .09 oz, liquid at .06 oz, trash at .03 oz. Here\u2019s a breakdown of waste weights by category compared to previous Weigh the Waste events this academic year: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a breakdown of responses to our survey, asking \u201cWhy did you throw out your food today?\u201d: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
