Film Recommendations

With only 19 days left for the semester to end, and with productions being cancel for this week, we hope that each and one of you is taking care of yourself and seeing this as an opportunity for self-care. Yes! we are back with some more recommendations! This time we have a couple of Animation films.

Balto (1995)

In this animated feature, a deadly diphtheria epidemic strikes the remote town of Nome, Alaska. With the life-saving medicine located hundreds of miles away, the residents decide to send out a sled-dog team. Balto (Kevin Bacon) — a half-wolf dog ignored by all except a goose, Boris (Bob Hoskins), and two polar bears — is chosen to run but is disqualified by lead dog Steele (Jim Cummings). When the other dogs get lost in the snow, Balto risks his life to rescue them and deliver the medicine.

When Marnie Was There (2014)

A young girl is sent to the country for health reasons, where she meets an unlikely friend in the form of Marnie, a young girl with flowing blonde hair. As the friendship unravels Marnie has closer ties to the protagonist than we might expect.
