Announcements

  • Support the Class of 2020! This upcoming weekend was originally scheduled to be Commencement Weekend for our graduating students. We want to honor our hard-working students, incredible faculty, and dedicated staff, even though we can’t celebrate on campus right now.
    • Show your Emerson pride this Friday, May 8, by wearing purple or your Emerson apparel! Share a photo of your outfit and tag it #Classof2020 in the #General Slack channel.

    • Haven’t joined Slack yet? Here’s information from IT on how to get started!

(Note: Please be aware that all Slack and Zoom events of this nature have the possibility of being publicly posted on people@emerson or submitted to the Emerson Endures archival effort. Voluntary participation in these events will serve as your permission to share in this way.)

  • The Matching Project launched several weeks ago as a way to connect available staff with project leaders as Emerson Everywhere continues to Work AnywhereWe are all coping with the challenges of this pandemic, but what a sight it will be to emerge from this pandemic with unforeseen achievements reached. Do you have the ability to help move important work along for the College? Please fill out a skills form and let us know how you are able to help. For those with important work, now is the time to capitalize on the skills available to support your project(s). Please submit a project form so that others can assist. Please reach out to Janet Pohli with any questions.
  • At this unique time in the College’s history, the Archives and Special Collections staff seeks to engage the community in preserving the variety of Emerson experiences related to the COVID-19 pandemic. With its new initiative, Emerson Endures: Documenting Our Shared COVID-19 Experience, the department invites staff, students, faculty, and alumni to submit photographs, fiction and nonfiction, interviews, original creative works, and other materials that reflect their experiences starting in Spring 2020. Submitting works to Emerson Endures allows the College Archives to preserve materials and use them publicly (including online); authors and creators retain copyright and the ability to share and publish their materials. Learn more about the project at emerson.edu/emerson-endures and view the submission form here.
