Summer Reading Recommendations

people@Emerson asked staff for some summer reading recommendations:

Currently reading If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio. Loving it so far. Would definitely recommend some Emily Henry books (People We Meet on Vacation, Beach Read, and Book Lovers) for summer reads. Anthony Rodriguez (Student Success)

I like reading about historic true crime, so I definitely recommend Tinseltown by William J. Mann! Tinsleltown is about the murder of William Desmond Taylor but really examines and explains the culture of Hollywood in the 1920s and the film industry. Tara Pealer (Iwasaki Library)

Cousins went on a Greece/Italy cruise, so I reread Song of Achilles and Circe before the subsequent slideshow. Given that they take place on the shore of Troy and a deserted island where Circe was banished to, they count as beach reads, right? Cheryl McGrath (Iwasaki Library)
