• Christina Dent (Iwasaki Library) just published a chapter in the book Education Behind the Wall: Why and how we teach college in prison (Brandeis University Press), which was edited by Emerson Associate Professor Mneesha Gellman. The book launch will be held on campus on October 6.

And in personal news…

• Christopher Stetson Wilson (Journalism) is having his first piece of fiction published. “The Stupid Invasion” has been accepted by The Florida Review. In related news, he has been promoted to managing editor of the Emerson student publication Redivider.

Announcements

Emerson has achieved a Gold STARS rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). The rating is based upon evaluation of the College’s academics, engagement, operations, planning and administration, and innovation as they pertain to sustainability.
