Final project for Directing Image and Sound with Joe Maggio. A folktale by Brandon Sherman
Sometime in the 1910s, a young man leaves home to make his fortune. When he hears that a local farmer has impossible rules for farmhands, he becomes interested and takes the challenge.
Cast Positions
Leads:
- Seldom (he/him):
- A young man who comes at life with curiosity and amusement. He is a classic, smartass, jack-of-all-trades looking for adventure.
- Dominore Centaur (he/him):
- An older-middle-aged farmer who doesn’t want to admit he needs help. His grumpy demeanor and strange tests cover up a fear of making connections with others.
Townspeople
- Three (3) townspeople (any pronouns): This group informs Seldom about the farmer, and warn the newcomer of his strange ways. They are pessimistic about Seldom’s chances when he resolves to go anyway.
