Listening sessions for Sustainability Action Plan

As you may know, Emerson is developing a Sustainability Action Plan this year to help us set and achieve our 2030 goals as a community. (Hearing about this for the first time? Check out this blog post, consider applying to join a working group, and/or reach out to sustainability@emerson.edu with any questions).

During the week of September 26, 2022, the Campus Sustainability Manager will be hosting two community listening sessions on Zoom to better understand the interests and priorities of our community. Each session will begin with a short presentation on sustainability at Emerson and the planning process. We will then move into a facilitated discussion between participants to learn what you all perceive as the highest priorities for sustainability, where our existing strengths and weaknesses lie, and what you are most interested in seeing change as a result of this planning process.

Below are the dates and times, along with registration links, for the two sessions. Be sure to register in advance! You are welcome to join one or both sessions.

  1. Tuesday, September 27 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm ET: register here.
  2. Thursday, September 29 from 10:00 to 11:00 am ET: register here.

Please also note that later this fall we will host a listening session for community partners outside of Emerson. If you know of individuals or groups that should be invited to that session, please reach out to sustainability@emerson.edu.

Can’t make it but want to submit ideas? The virtual suggestion box here will be open all fall!
