Furthermore Grants in Publishing: Now Accepting Applications (Due July 1)

Furthermore grants in publishing is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for 2025 grants. 

Furthermore supports the publication of nonfiction books concerning the arts, history, and the natural and built environments. We seek work that will appeal to an informed general audience and give evidence of high standards in writing, design, and production.

Grant awards range from $1,500 to $12,000 and fund specific publication components such as writing, research, editing, indexing, design, illustration, photography, and printing and binding. Preference is given to projects with a publisher’s commitment and feasible distribution plans. 

Recipients of Furthermore grants are located throughout the U.S. and occasionally abroad; please note that we are only able to consider books published in English.
Applicants must be 501(c)3 organizations; applications from individuals are not accepted.

Grant applications should be submitted online through our website no later than midnight EDT July 1. Please note that Furthermore will offer only a single cycle of grants in 2025.
